6th NORBARAG meeting 17-19 February
?
The meeting will cover different aspects of pesticide resistance, especially, in the light of fewer new modes of action. Discussion will take place in three sub-groups (insecticides, fungicides and herbicides) and in plenary session.
Topics include:
? Resistance risk assessment and management
? Resistance management guidelines for the growers
? Research needs
? Collaboration on resistance screening and monitoring
? Harmonization of the pesticide efficacy evaluation procedures and pesticide label
We encourage representatives from official research institutes in Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway and Sweden who are involved in pesticide resistance research and pesticide efficacy evaluation and representatives of the agrochemical companies operating in the Nordic-Baltic region to attend this meeting. Suggestions for presentations are welcome and can be directed to the respective sub-group leaders or chairman regarding plenary session.

GETTING THERE
The meeting place can easily be reached by public transport or car.
From Riga Airport it takes 30 minutes by bus (city line No. 22 stops at the airport,http://saraksti.rigassatiksme.lv/index.html#bus/22/a-b/1542/en) or 20 minutes by taxi (http://baltictaxi.lv/en/services/service-tariffs.html). Tickets can be bought in cash only but taxis could mostly be paid by either cash or credit cards.
We remind that from January 1, 2014 official currency in Latvia will be Euro.?

Hotel Avalon has an underground parking where parking for overstaying clients with car costs 10 EUR/ per day.
